FAQs
1. Can I park there? Yes, you can park outside the front of the gym for free.
2. Can I freeze my membership? Yes. If you choose a monthly membership, you can cancel or freeze this at any time.
3. Can I have a taster session? Yes. Contact us via phone to book in for a £5 taster session. You'll meet current members and join in with the class at your own level, with a coach there to guide you through the movements.
4. Is there a joining fee? No, there are no hidden costs. We do advise that anyone new to weightlifting, invests in the Fundamentals Class to learn the movements and how to execute them safely and properly with a coach 1-2-1.
5. What classes do you offer? We offer coach-led classes in the mornings and evenings. These are run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Please check the schedule for all classes.
6. Do I need to be fit to join? No. We welcome everyone at any fitness level. From complete beginners to athletes. It's your fitness journey and we're here to help you achieve your personal goals. Please see our Core Movements section for the basic exercises we use within workouts.
7. What can I expect during a class? When you've buzzed in via security door, you'll be greeted by a staff member of Core Gym, who will show you to the CF Oswestry gym. You'll meet one of our coaches and have a chance to chat with current members. Coach will talk everyone through the workout, and a warm up will begin before you get down to the real work.
8. Are there changing facilities? Yes. You will have access to changing rooms, showers and toilets. We don't have lockers as you are allowed to bring bags, coats and phones, into the gym with you.
9. Is there a minimum age? Yes. We welcome teenagers 16 and above to become members. Children between the ages of 11 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This is to ensure their safety.
10. What is open gym? Open gym sessions run throughout the week during off-peak times. There are no classes during those sessions, so members are able to use any of the equipment and carry out their own workouts. A maximum of 5 members can book the same OG session at any one time.
